John stepped in to cover for the vacationing Matt for the July game of Let's Do Trivia!

Thanks for your warm welcome, y'all were awesome.

With only 3 teams in the house, the odds of winning were huge. At halftime, Revenge of the Nerds were on top with The Real Vikings and Bob Needed A New-Heart tied for 2nd place. (As I had not heard of the passing of Bob Newhart that day, it was indeed "too soon" for this game host. But I couldn't stop giggling about that team name the rest of the night after they informed me.) Rest in peace, Bob Newhart! You were an icon to me.

Scores remained tight going into the final question with Revenge of the Nerds holding their top spot and Bob Needs A New-Heart edging a single point lead over The Real Vikings as we entered the final question.

No correct answer on the final allowed a safe wager for Revenge of the Nerds that would lead to their victory!

Revenge of the Nerds are also the FIRST recipients of the Winner's Trophy! The trophy remains at Brimming Horn, but when Nerds come back in August to defend their July win, they will have our Winner's Trophy on their table from their arrival! Every time Matt says "Trophy" it is the responsibility of the holders to raise it high in triumph! Failure to do so may result in delay of game. If Nerds wins, they retain symbolic possession of the trophy for another month! If they lose, they must, when cued to do so by Matt, PARADE the trophy Olympic-style to the new winning team.
